Right now, RBM provides (a) an oval (represented as a radio button) for a write-in selection and (b) a text field for the actual entry. The mere selection of the radio button is considered sufficient for avoiding an undervote. This means that someone can select the oval without entering a value. Is this sufficient?
Alternatively, the field may be entered and typed into when a selection cannot be made. This seems to be a usability issue as well.
