Door/Window sensors do not have any state history at all

I have a wokring instance of this Kia HACs component and things like fuel level, driving range are giving me values. Sensors for Doors and Windows however, do not change state at all and therefore has no state history either. Always on default of 'Closed' Anyone know why this is the case? and what can I do to fix this? I only noticed when I was trying to setup some 'conditional cards' thanks in advance.

You would need to leave the door open for a full scan interval to have it change. It only reports as well to the servers from time to time.
