Remove fract_intermediate and tp_intermediate?

The intermediate results in fract_intermediate and tp_intermediate aren't really used anywhere. I assume they were kept for debugging purposes at some point. I'd suggest to just get rid to them to save time and memory. Okay @DTSHaas?

I think tp_intermediate is used in post-processing but that one shouldn't be too big. fract_intermediate was indeed used for debugging and checking pre-processing steps only. Since this is the much bigger one, we can remove it to speed it up.
