Hello,

As a member of RDG team ( https://entrepot.recherche.data.gouv.fr/ ) we have a request:
As there is an API allowing users to skip file ingest ( https://guides.dataverse.org/en/5.11.1/api/native-api.html#add-a-file-to-a-dataset ),
The goal is to allow users to skip ingest through UI.
(IQSS/dataverse#2199 (comment))

Regards,
Sirine

Hi @sirineREKIK,

Thank you for creating this issue.

The https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse-frontend repository is a work in progress repository created with the aim of migrating the Dataverse frontend, currently in JSF, to React.

Dataverse has many features and we are still in an early phase of the migration, so it will take some time for the migration to finish and for the new frontend application to be available. New features like the one you describe will be prioritized once the existing functionality is migrated.

Therefore, if you are looking for the functionality you request to be implemented in the shorter term, I recommend that you create this issue on the core Dataverse repository (https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues), so that it can be prioritized for the current frontend.

In any case, if you don't mind, we'll keep this issue open in this repository for consideration in post-migration work.

Thank you,

@sirineREKIK
