Custom cursor for external prompt window

Is it possible to modify the crosshairs cursor in the external prompt window to another cursor so it can be used as a focus point for reading as an alternative to the focus area? (see pic example)

We could add the ability to select which cursor the user wants to see while hovering over the prompter. Options would be limited to system cursors in order to maintain compatibility across all browsers.
