Why is this is blocking infinite on Ubuntu?

FIdTCPClient := TIdTCPClient.Create(nil);
FIdTCPClient.Port := FPort;
FIdTCPClient.ConnectTimeout := 1000;
FIdTCPClient.Host := FHost;
FIdTCPClient.Connect;
