Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
In Medley on Linux I can't type some characters with my Italian kyeboard, whereas I can type all characters in Medley Online on the same Linux system with the same Italian keyboard.
The issue occurs with all non English keyboards.
Describe the solution you'd like
Since the noVNC client of Medley Online correctly detects all keys on my keyboard, as a workaround I suggest adding support for VNC on native Linux.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Supporting non English keyboards, which is hard. See for example #334 and #1780.
Additional context
Medley currently supports VNC on WSL/Windows and Medley Online but not on native Linux.
This feature request was discussed in the August 26, 2024 Medley implementation meeting.
