193X/196X EDTF validation issue #1889
Comments
Perhaps islandora_defaults (or the field formatter defaults) should be updated to be the more permissive option. |
+1 support ranges as valid by default |
+1 here too |
+1 |
+1 to supporting ranges as valid by default. |
Probably this change could also trigger a documentation change to note the default will now keep you from entering times as per #1364 |
i can't remember what i'm supposed to do for this one. does anyone know? |
@elizoller, this is just an update to the islandora_defaults config so that EDTF intervals are true instead of false. See https://github.com/Islandora/islandora_defaults/blob/2.x/config/install/core.entity_form_display.node.islandora_object.default.yml#L374, https://github.com/Islandora/islandora_defaults/blob/2.x/config/install/core.entity_form_display.node.islandora_object.default.yml#L383, and https://github.com/Islandora/islandora_defaults/blob/2.x/config/install/core.entity_form_display.node.islandora_object.default.yml#L392. Also, as @kspurgin notes above, the corresponding documentation update. |
According to EDTF (https://digital2.library.unt.edu/edtf/), 193X/196X should be a valid date. However, currently islandora (future.islandora.ca) does not seem to validate this. It does validate 193X.
