Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I use HyprPanel on a touch device and would like to set up shortcuts directly accessible in the top bar, such as an app launcher or rotating the screen.

Describe the solution you'd like
A module allowing to define custom buttons that show up in the top bar, with a specified icon and a command that gets executed when pressed.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Rebinding the buttons in the dashboard works, but requires additional clicks, which gets cumbersome for common actions.

@orangci I did and could not find any such functionality.
Custom modules allow binding actions to clicks, but only for predefined modules. I don't think it is an elegant solution to add eg. a weather module so I can launch an application launcher by clicking it.
Other than this, the documentation only mentions shortcuts for the dashboard, which as I mentioned require first opening the dashboard, which gets cumbersome for frequent actions.

If there's a different way I missed, could you point me to it?

Like I already mentioned, all of the modules listed come with pre-defined functionality other than executing commands, and thus appear to be the wrong tool for the job.

I see.. appears I misunderstood what you wanted. I'll just re-open this.
