Some ANT device profiles allow the sensors to allow only a portion of the measurements.
It is possible to ask the sensor about its capabilities or determine it through analyzing the messages it sends.

The sensor in SensorWrangler should not offer more measurements than the physical sensor provides.

This could be implemented while scanning for sensors:
While scanning a sensor should not show up as "found" until its capabilities are determined.
