Syncing MAX schedule to calendar

Before we reinvent the wheel: are you aware of any way to sync the temperature of thermostats to a (eg Google or ics) calendar? Ie set temperature X during event and Y else?

(And another, maybe unrelated question: are the times programmed by the cube into the thermostats? So does each thermostat store it's own timetable or do they rely on permanent connection to the cube?)

Don't have answers to any of these questions. I've always just used a crontab for my scheduling needs.
