This is my first time here. I searched for an answer to this, but didn't find anything. So, forgive me if I missed something.
I just got an Ender 3 v2 and I haven't even printed anything yet. I'm still setting it up. It didn't work out of the box (the print bed wouldn't heat up). I purchased a new print bed (because I didn't want to wait until Creality resolved the issue) and that fixed that problem. I also added a CR-Touch to help with the leveling. The problem I'm having now is I need to set the Z-axis to a negative value, but I cannot go below zero. I have searched for the web for an answer and found several sites that suggested I uncomment the #define SOFT_ENDSTOPS_MENU_ITEM in the firmware code. The comment in the code states doing that will "Enable/Disable software endstops from the LCD". Well, I did that, compiled the code, and flashed the firmware. Everything else seems to be working, but I cannot find a Disable software endstops menu anywhere and I still can't go below 0. I did a level and auto home and I still can't find it.
What am I missing? I have read that I can use OctoPrint (I already have a Raspberry Pi), but that's another whole weekend trying to set that up. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
