What is your feature request related to?

Please describe the module/problem
Currently, it is not possible to write files from inside code in a FunctionModule since no reference to the file manager exists.

Describe the solution you'd like
The FunctionModule should always receive a reference to the file manager but the user is able to decide whether this is used or not.
