Disable scroll inside webView for iOS

There is a common issue for iOS where webview will swallow the pan gesture. More info here
How can we disable scroll inside the webview for iOS apps? My app relies on displaying a webView as an element inside a scrollable container. On Android this works perfectly but on iOS it is stuck on the webView and once webView is displayed, scroll of the container doesn't work anymore.

webViewState.webSettings.iOSWebSettings.showHorizontalScrollIndicator = false

none of these seem to work for me. Even putting a box over the content of this webView doesn't help. The touch input is still consumed by the webview instead of the composable
