hello,
I have a skyconnect EZSP which works very well on version z2m 1.42.0-2. If I want to update to version 2.0.0-2, do I absolutely have to flash my skyconnect in Ember?

It depends on how old the stick's firmware is. If you have version 6.x.x, you have to update to version 7 or 8. I personally use 7.4.3 and 7.4.5. Furthermore, 8.0.2 should also work (8.0.0 and 8.0.1 not so much).
You can also use z2m 1.42.0 to test whether the Ember driver works for you. Simply change to adapter = ember in the config and restart z2m.
To be on the safe side, always make a backup beforehand!
I would not recommend updating to z2m 2.0.x at the moment, as there seem to be quite a few problems (e.g. with BetterThermostat).
