Bosch Room Thermostat II 230V - Boost mode does nothing

What happened?

Model: BTH-RM230Z
Firmware build date: 20240227 (has not worked for me in previous versions)

The boost mode for the thermostat does not seem to work for me.

When turning on the boost mode, the thermostat flashes red once (indicating failure) and remains in the idle state.
At the next poll for state, the thermostat boost mode is back to off.

What did you expect to happen?

When toggling on the boost mode, I expect the thermostat to go into the heating state (for a limited time).

How to reproduce it (minimal and precise)

Have the thermostat be idle (i.e not requesting heat / current temperature below the setpoint).

Turn on the boost mode.

I would like to figure out what's going on. If anyone is able to point me to the documentation for Bosch's ZigBee protocols I could maybe figure this out
