Problem Statement

To ensure the validity of validate Kong image test and discover incompatible behavior with Kong gateway, we need to run validate Kong image tests regularly.

Proposed Solution

Run the validate Kong image tests with the following combination daily:

  • latest version of KIC and Kong gateway (could be covered by current nightly e2e?)
  • KIC 2.12 LTS and Kong gateway 2.8 LTS
  • KIC 2.12 LTS and Kong gateway 3.4 LTS (is this required?)

Acceptance Criteria

  • Validate Kong image test runs daily with the combinations of KIC/Kong gateway versions above.
