Wondering if it's possible to build a script to auto-wipe LAF to unlock bootloader on certain devices? Sorry if it's a dumb question.

You can do that already with what is in the repo. ERSE works just fine.

However, if you wipe LAF, that will get you access to fastboot, but that doesn't mean that the fastboot commands are enabled. If you wipe LAF, and you don't have access to oem unlock or flash, then you have no way to ever flash your phone again.

to be safe make sure you have a working custom recovery before you do anything
