multilevel + level-manifest + level-sublevel supports exposing sublevels to clients.

How could one achieve the same with subleveldown and multileveldown?

If the answer is "manifests", it would be nice to solve this in an abstract way, because a manifest could also be used by deferred-leveldown (Level/deferred-leveldown#35)

Thoughts?

Hmz, you don't have to expose them. Just use subleveldown client-side. Or, if you only want to share one server-side sublevel with clients, then wrap that sublevel with multileveldown.
