I thought I would share some feedback on the current workspace implementation and suggestions to improve it. I recently moved from Organizr to Dashy because it started to feel old, and lacked a few features which Dashy has. Nevertheless, one thing it did very well was the workspace implementation. While the current workspace implementation in Dashy is functional and easy to configure, there are several improvements that can be made to make it more useable and efficient.

Workspace suggestions:

The Homepage (Workspace Starting View)
— If the Starting View is set to Workspace, the default starting iframe should be the contents of the default Starting View and reachable through the home button currently available in the sidebar. This could then be overridden by setting a Workspace Landing URL. Clicking on the home button should bring you back to the homepage iframe so that you remain in workspace view, while leaving any open iframes open.

The Header & Sidebar
— Make the header compact (40-50% of the current height), it takes a lot of space away from iframes.
— Add buttons next to the header which reload current iframe, close current iframe and open current iframe in a new window.
— Make sidebar fully collapsible for mobile usability and extendable when hovering over it with a mouse. Perhaps only leave a thin line which the mouse has to reach on the left to expand the sidebar and show the icons and titles. Multiple ways it could work, an option may be suitable.

— Make grouping of applications in the sidebar configurable. Currently, the grouping is often a hindrance.
— Allow sorting, including moving home button to the top and removing the minimal view icon.
— Middle-click on an app in the sidebar causes side scrolling. Have the buttons fill out a specific vertical height to make them easier to click, and make middle-click open the app in a new tab.

Iframes
— Keep iFrames open when clicking home button, as mentioned above.
— Refreshing the window in the browser should reopen the current iFrame and close all others. Currently, it reopens the first iframe opened.
— Open iframes should glow or stand out somehow in the sidebar.
— Iframes never extend to the bottom fully. This is likely due to the hide footer setting. The same thing happens when using hide header, but the header is very useful for the workspace view anyway, as detailed above.

Making these changes would greatly improve the workspace experience, and give organizr users like myself a modern and well maintained homepage with strong multitasking functionality.
