This was caused by an error with code that attempts to link custom group nodes after they are updated in the add-on user interface and a depsgraph shader change was detected. I removed this code as at the moment, custom shader groups are not well supported. This feature may be added in the future, but for the time being, the built in features make custom group nodes more of a niche requirement.
