I'm having the same issue, it seems like whatever lighting stuff Embeddium is doing covers up what Shimmer is doing?

I'm also using Blooming Blocks in this example, and with Embeddium installed there's a faint outline of the actual color Shimmer is trying to set.

Unfortunately I have encountered similar issues, I've tried downgrading embeddium and everything, it just seems like sadly the two mods aren't compatible which makes it a dealbreaker. I think a shader pack called rethinking voxels can also recreate some blocklight but it's much more laggy since it's based on complimentary shaders as well.
