I have confirmed that ...

  • tacz is up to date
  • unable to reproduce without tacz

Minecraft and modloader version

MC 1.20.1, Forge 47.3.22 (Latest as of this report)

tac version

1.1.4, 1.1.4-hotfix

Related Mods

Gigeresque (any version)

Description

Game crashes on attempt to start up in my modpack. The crash only occurs on TaCZ versions 1.1.4 and above, with 1.0.3 being the latest version that doesn't have this occur. This crash only occurs on clients, and not on the server, with the report itself pointing to something relating to rendering/sound.

Step to reproduce

  1. Install the modpack (with TaCZ).
  2. Run it, expect to play the game.
  3. Get through most of the FML loading screen, then it goes kaput.

After a friend did a thorough investigation, it seems that it crashes when paired with the Gigeresque mod (used through Sinytra Connector). Is that able to be fixed on your end, or is that not an issue that is in your control?

seem Gigeresque's animation file contain illegal resources location... but tacz reading it's animation files was a true accident as well, I will try to add an exception handling later to ignore these things to avoid game crash
