Allow the user to select and/or disable groups directly by hovering and/or clicking on the legend. Maybe a thing that makes sense:

  • hover over legend item to bring group to the front
  • click legend item to toggle between showing/hiding that group
  • double click on legend item to select group (which would bring it to the front and keep it there)
