Issue

  • We have a number of gems that support ruby 2.7. (e.g.: floe, virtual_attributes)
  • manageiq-style only supports ruby >= 3.0

Our current solution is to not support manageiq-style in our gems. I'd like that to change.

Solutions

  • Drop ruby 2.7 support for our gems. 2.7 EOL in 2023.
  • Add 2.7 back to manageiq-style.
  • Do not use manageiq-style in our gem projects.
