Digital Iceland’s authentication system is a login system. Its purpose is to offer software-clients secure access to end users’ data from various providers.
It supports different login-methods, customizable for each client.
- It is possible to log in to Digital Iceland with an electronic authentication on mobile phone.
- It is also possible to log in to Digital Iceland with an electronic authentication using a personal certificate card.
- Smart-ID is an authentication service which is in development by Auðkenni ehf.
