Total Warfare page 53 states that units with jump MP may jump into the hex they started in. This does not seem to be possible in Megamek. It is possible that I simply missed the correct UI commands to do so, but the tests shown below make that seem unlikely.
With jump movement selected, clicking in a target hex that is not the starting hex plots movement as expected:
Clicking in the unit's starting hex gives no indication of movement, and the "Skip Movement" button remains highlighted.
Right-clicking in a target hex and selecting Movement - Jump also works as expected in other hexes:
It is possible to do the same in the unit's starting hex, but this gives no indication of movement, and the "Skip Movement" button remains highlighted.
Files
A 0.49.15 savegame with a mek, protomek, vehicle, conventional infantry, and battle armor with jump MP is included for ease of testing. jumpTest.sav.gz
