Bug

This information is show when installing the extension:

However this is inaccurate. This behavior changed in November 2018.

Browser details (please complete the following information):

  • Metamask 5.2.2
  • Chrome Version 71.0.3578.98 (Official Build) (64-bit)
  • macOS 10.14.1

How's the behavior changed?

At first, Privacy Mode will be opt-in (and turned “off” by default).

From Introducing: Privacy Mode (Medium).

They only issue is the last statement, recommending to sign out instead of enabling Privacy Mode. Which is a step above, IMO, to privacy mode.
