From a conversation on gitter

We aim for pragmatism, not purity. There's this saying of "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good", and that pretty much sums it up. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, that's where you can jump in and fix things.

Why

I think this quote or maybe something like it captures why Mithril is different and better. With so many JS frameworks to choose from stating up front why a programmer should invest energy in discovering and understanding Mithril is helpful.

Said another way: This is a great elevator pitch.
