The energy diags look odd to me! As a sanity check, could you run 5 days with:

nhtfrq = 0, -24, -24, -3, 0, -2, 0, -24
avgflag_pertape = 'A', 'A', 'A', 'A', 'A', 'A', 'A', 'I'
interpolate_output = .true.,.true.,.true.,.true.,.true.,.true.,.true.,.true.,.true.
