downloaded from google drive and found out the alignment is different from FFHQ-style and images discribed in this repo readme.

I am not a maintainer, but some images are already at the edge of the original picture. The only way around this is to add black space to allow orientation, which you see in some images.

You could do more aggressive alignment that forces black space, but this doesn't provide more information and would increase the blacked out proportions. Also, if you look at the FFHQ images, some do look like the example you provided.

You could remove the images you do not like, or modify the workflow provided in this repo.
