The GFSv16 input data used for CDEPS have been analyzed. It is found that several variables have unrealistic values. Compared with CFSR data, the precipitation field and layer one depth field are much larger than expected. The issues have been reported to the NG-GODAS team.

The revised GFSv16 data files for March 2021 have been analyzed. All the fields used by CDEPS seem to be reasonable. A pull request has been submitted to ufs-weather-model repository to add a new CDEPS test using the revised GFSv16 input data.
