Posting Guidelines for Feature Requests & Enhancements

The Earth Prediction Innovation Center (EPIC) encourages UFS community members to post requests for new UPP features and enhancements in the Enhancements category of the UPP Discussions. These requests are collected and sent to management for prioritization.

When posting a request, include a thorough description of the feature or enhancement including elements such as:

• Description: General explanation of the desired feature and the problem it resolves.
• Purpose: Why is this feature needed? (specific use case)
• Requirements: What does the new feature need to accomplish?
• Acceptance Criteria (Definition of Done): What does it mean for this feature to be finished?
• Dependencies (optional): Does this feature/capability require resolution of preexisting issues (if so, provide link to GitHub Issue)? Does the nonexistence of this capability block progress on current work?
• Proposed Solution (optional)
