Admin->Services->Passive Checks not reflecting checks

I added a passive check via the interface and upon restarting NCPA, the check was working, but did not reflect in the interface's admin passive checks section (it did show in the checks section). Upon adding a line to the .cfg manually, both checks showed in the admin passive checks section.
