Screen Sharing doesn't work in Desktop App #5
Comments
Unfortunately, a lot of people are having this issue but i dont know how to reproduce it :( |
Have you got multiple monitors? |
I indeed have 2 monitors |
I did try to unplug one of my monitors, but the issue is still there and gives the exact same error.
|
Could you update the desktop app to the latest version and try again pls https://github.com/Nerimity/nerimity-desktop/releases/tag/v1.4.2 |
I just tried it out after updating. The error no longer appears, but the "choose window" button doesn't start the screen share still. It does not do anything for me at the moment. I tried using different quality and framerates for the stream, but that doesn't seem to affect anything. Nothing makes the choose window button do anything. My friend just tried to stream though and it did work for her. She only has 1 monitor. |
:( Follow these steps:

Strange, I have no idea :( can you try screensharing in your notes channel? |
I just tried doing that, its the exact same as in a regular channel. Nothing is being logged in the console |
Open cmd
Start screenshare and send me a screenshot from the beginning |
Update to this latest version, i think i might have fixed it. https://github.com/Nerimity/nerimity-desktop/releases/tag/v1.4.3 |
Unfortunately still not working, but I do get an error now in the console. (Here's also again one of the command prompt) I also unfortunately have to head off for today, but I will make sure to test any new solution as soon as possible! Thanks for the awesome work so far! |
oh my goshhh, this is so frustrating how its working perfectly for me 😭 well, thanks a lot for your testing, |
No worries! I'll keep a close eye on here to test any future possible solutions |
Whenever you do have new versions for me to test, feel free to let me know! |
I attempted to share my screen in a call and only got this error with double clicking the share screen button.
In the desktop app it refuses to stream anything and keeps giving this error.
