I think you are asking about the status of this project. Maybe should be in the README, but as far as I know this is the status:

1.x (master): based on war file deployment will no longer be released
2.x: has recent maintenance, but has no deployable artifact anymore

• client still works (jax-rs)
• server here no longer works (war file)
• only known way to use the server is via https://github.com/spring-cloud/spring-cloud-netflix

personal opinion: My suspicion is that there is no functional server anymore isn't intentional, rather triage due to resources needed to fix it. It broke while updating to jakarta, and there are a lot of notes for code not migrated. So, practically speaking, if you want to run the server and cannot personally fix the war, the only way is spring-cloud-netflix at the moment (spring boot 3). The good news is people are maintaining that, and there is documentation.

Netflix continues to use the 1.x server as it is wire compatible. They are still making small fixes. 2.x server is indeed consumable through spring cloud only because of my lack of time to do it. If someone were to contribute it, I'm sure it would be welcome.
