Forwarding ICMP Responses

Trying to find out if there is a way to forward ICMP requests to the host that the proxy is pointing to. When pinging the FQDN of a host set up in NPM it seems to ping the IP of the proxy rather then the address of host that NPM is pointing to. Is there any configuration in NPM that can be done so that it responds with the address of the host it is pointing to?
