Hi, As far as I can tell the < commands aren't working with updated Obsidian -- when I copy the markdown it just gives me a regular table :(

Can reproduce on the latest version as well.

Edit: The table renders correctly in read mode (not tested with < but I assume that it works as well), tested on android as well, My bad.

Is it expected to work in editing mode? or only in reading mode?

I am experiencing similar issue. In one table < is working, but ^ is not, in table few lines above, < is not working.
I would like to see the merging in edit mode as I read and edit at the same time most of the time.

Yea this functionality unfortunately is not working correctly when reading the document, also it would be great as @sukulent mentioned above for the functionality to work in the writing if possible.

Below issue occurred and reproduced in smaller table, the problem keeps persisting in the same table setup.

Sorry for the tardiness everyone, I have been neglecting this project because of schoolwork for a while...

I am currently trying to fix the issue but it from what I've found so far, it looks like Obsidian's table editor modifies the table after the markdown postprocessing step that this plugin interacts with. The implication is that there is not a lot I can do to modify a table with merged cells without also breaking the table editor. I could be wrong and I am still investigating the issue, I am really sorry about the wait.

I am seeing the same thing. Merging does not work except in reading mode. Which I personally do not use

Hey, I was checking something else out and realized I forgot to update this -- there are still problems but as mentioned in a couple of other issues, if you wrap the table in a code block simply stating ```sheet at the top it shows up in Live Edit with the merging functions working.

But using ```sheet ``` will make you lose the ability to edit the table. Which is inconvenient to me.
if like so, This plugin is useless and I better use Excel and screenshot it to obsidian note.

Is there any fix for this?
