Current Situation

This project looks super cool. I would like to build this, and am trying to find the best ESP32 dev board that already has the RS485 chip, and maybe power regulation, etc. I THINK the M5stack ESP32 Tough does that, plus it's already in a weatherproof enclosure. The only potential downside I see, is it doesn't have the option to use an external wifi antenna. So questions for you... Do you think this board could be a good choice for connecting directly to my balboa spa, and have you considered developing an option to use Bluetooth instead of wifi, so that I could use an ESPhome BT proxy to home assistant?

I don’t have that board in my portfolio, so can’t comment on it. I had just soldered up my unit with a esp32 dev board I had in my supplies. Hardest part was waiting for the proper connector to the spa
