This is a very useful extension, thank you. It would be even better if you could just click the extension icon (or menu item) to enable and disable it. That way, when I am developing a form, I can enable it and it will be always on, but when I go back to normal browsing, it could be off. In the off state, the icon could be light grey.

I feel this should be easy, but I have never developed chrome extensions before.

I agree with this feedback. I would be happy to receive a PR. 😄

I have not done much programming for chrome extensions either. But is is pretty much DOM and javascript.
