Improve - Categories

Categories are essential to organise all the incoming data. But they could be optimised, some small changes would bring a much more organised UX/UI

The goal here is to identify the problems and discuss/share possible ways forward to see if it's worth putting on our roadmap.

Current problems

1. Categories are very different from eachother and this filter is important to navigate. But the category filter is not very visable between the others ones. It should go up a layer in importance
2. Hard to see to what category a piece of content belongs. Tags are more visable then categories
3. Categories could looks visually a bit more interesting and important. This would make the difference in relevance with tags more clear. Icons could be a good way to add more importance

Things to keep in mind

• Each instance uses a different amount of categories. The design should be flexible enough to serve all
• Could be nice area to start using more (custom) icons.

Whats needed next

• Make a design that visualises and integrate categories better.
