RMS looks similar to ResInsight on RHEL8, both using Qt UI.

I understand. it is how the software GUI is designed.
if all the extra windows are closed there is a base window which look like the following:

any other added window has a frame. my suggestion was to see if the same frame can be added to the main window as well.
