I have a sound delay using this specific headset. The delay is about 1 to 2 seconds while we were testing with a friend, but it can go higher in a real game.
The green circle around the other player avatar is displaying in real time, but the sound "takes time" to arrive.
I tried using other audio configuration, the issue does not occur.
I tried to specify in the settings which specker to use, this does not change anything.
I did not notice the same problem using the original CrewLink.
The headset's drivers are up to date.

Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

  1. Use Corsair Virtuoso wireless headset

Desktop:

  • OS: Windows 10 Familly
  • Version: 2004

Better-CrewLink:

  • Version: 2.3.6

Also experiencing this problem with a Corsair Void Pro USB. Above fixes didn't fix it either. The other 4 members of my lobby experienced no problems.

I still don't know a solution for this, there is an temp fix what u can use and that is using RTX VOICE or voice meter

Easiest but for gtx/rtx gpu's only: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/guides/nvidia-rtx-voice-setup-guide
a bit harder to setup: https://vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/

I have an audio delay with my corsair headset
This is an issue with the iCUE software of Corsair, sadly we can't really solve this in our code but there are some solutions.

Solutions:

  1. Make sure you have iCUE 3.x uninstalled and iCUE 4.x installed https://www.corsair.com/eu/en/downloads and update your headset to the latest firmware. (this might already resolve the issue)
  2. Run BetterCrewLink as windows 8 compatibility mode & as admin
2.1. Right click BetterCrewLink then click properties https://i.imgur.com/WhfCfA9.png
2.2. Go to compatibility and enable "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select Windows 7 or 8 also enable "Run this program as an administrator" then click Apply & OK and restart BetterCrewLink : https://i.imgur.com/zLH5cvC.png
  3. If solution 1 and 2 didn't fix it then you can use some software to fix it:
3.1. If you have a NVIDIA gpu then u can use RTX voice (works on gtx gpu's as well) https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/guides/nvidia-rtx-voice-setup-guide/#Setup-guides after installation you can just select RTX voice as speaker & microphone in the settings and you won't have delay anymore. This will also improve your mic in my opinion. https://i.imgur.com/DdYLjDx.png
3.2. If you have a AMD gpu or no gpu (igpu) then you can use voicemeeter virtual audio mixer. (Don't have instructions for this yet so only try this if solution 1 & 2 didn't work yet)
