As presented by #85 before I changed all the internal layout of the library, implement some form of directed scanning. An interesting intermediate proposal is to quickly deploy #100, which would at least give the user the chance to decide if a certain device is desired or not.

This is particularly useful in the case of Linux, where other programs might extend the discovery filters and it's up to the user to discern which devices they wish to keep.
