Is it possible to ignore the correctness test for now? Since currently I just want to measure the speed.

Which version, which compiler ? This looks pretty bad, not sure if this is WSL related but how much memory available ?
If you want to get around the tests, you can remove the "test" and "ctest" targets from the Makefile, but not sure what kind of speed you intend to measure when it calculates nonsense and/or blows up.

I observed that most of the failed case have a significantly different result after half of the test (Like 31 tuples in total and error from 16)

How about passing TARGET=HASWELL to GNU make ?

gfortran also 9.3.0 (very bad things can happen with a version mismatch) ? (Our CI contains a build on EPYC7401 which passes - certainly no match for your 3990X but the LAPACK tests run with just 1 and 2 threads anyway).

  1. I specify the target to be haswell and also failed.
  2. I disabled the test, ctest and succeed to make.
  3. I wonder whether STACK_ALLOC variable will influence the test result?

If you suspect a stacksize problem (what does ulimit -s report in your WSL?), you could try redoing the build with make BUFFERSIZE=20 - the per-thread GEMM buffer is more likely to be the culprit.

If you specify TARGET=Sandybridge or NO_AVX2=1 ? There were AVX problems with first WSL.
