Proxmox Tutorial Part 3 Information missing

Hi @Mayfly277 , first of all thanks for the great work.

I followed your Proxmox tutorial but during part 3 I was struggling. I'm completely new to Terraform and you mention a goad.tf but there isn't any in the latest commit under GOAD/ad/GOAD/providers/proxmox/ (the terraform folder isn't even existing in there). Have I missed something?

However, I managed to get it working by copying the main.tf from GOAD/template/provider/proxmox/ and a goad.tf from a fork from another user.

Additionally, the original variables.tf file wasn't working and needed to be changed as described in your tutorial, because the original one is working with a different format of variables assignment (kind of cross references to other files).

What do you mean exactly? In the v3 branch there isn't any goad.tf neither. The tutorial provided by @Mayfly277 is great, but I think there is only some minor part missing.

The tutorial was for v2. I have to refresh it for v3. Some parts are easier to setup due to config file (see ~/.goad/goad.ini) but sure the installation blog is not up to date by now 😉

Well, that explains a lot. 😉 I'd suggest to add a brief information at the top of the first part that it's only related to v2.

i will do better, i will rewrite the blog post for v3 when i get the time ;)
