Hi,
Suppose a player is moving to a tile that was previously marked Clear, but now fails to roll the required number, does the tile change from Clear to Blocked?
Cheers, Jim

Hi Jim,
Not quite sure what you mean. Once a tile is "Clear" it can be moved to without needing a successful roll.
Unless it is covered with slime.
Does that answer your question?

In the readme, under Movement, it says this:

  1. The player attempts to move to an adjacent tile - which can be a clear path or a numbered tile.
    i. The player rolls the dice. Regardless of whether the tile they want to move to is clear or not.

If a tile is clear, the player cannot "fail" on their roll. Think of it as the tile now being marked "zero" - any roll is strong enough to beat it.

I'll look at improving the wording.

If you're improving wording anyway, maybe add a note that the Slime Score resets to zero after the Slime expands.

Ah. Also, the player still has to roll the dice to move, even to a Clear tile?
That means the Slime Score gets increased.
