[Bug] Rustic tomatoes and chili pepper not perfectly working with fruit farm

So, I sat up a few fruit farms for rustic tomatoes and chili pepper, and this what happens:
When harvesting the tomato or chili pepper, the plant turns into the smallest growth level of the plant, even if the plant is several blocks tall and the collected crop is not at the top. This causes weird looking crops.
