I have been using media extended extensively for studying on videos. However, a few months ago, the plugin stopped functioning. First, the web view started failing to load. In a later version, it succeeded to load, but it stops in all videos after 19secs exactly. This happens with the latest version.

I have now tested a lot of versions before the latest version. I found that 2.11.1 works fine and does not stop at 19secs like other versions, but that version does not have the screenshot feature unfortunately. The later versions either fail to load the web view or stop at 19secs.

Youtube videos stop abruptly at 19sec and keep loading. I download the video and then make notes

That is really unfortunate because this plugin is extremely useful and has a lot of cool features. It is sad to see all that unusable because of a single bug! I might attempt to fix it, but I don't have any previous experience working with Obsidian plugins.

Double-check the link and, after pasting it into the "media" section, try opening it in a new tab using the middle mouse button. Not in a separate location, but in the same tab. This part is important. The issue can be resolved. You’ll need to keep trying until it works.

Another method: First, downgrade to version 3.0.0-beta.1, then update from within Obsidian.

The problem is the video stops after playing 19sec ... also i have tried your suggestion to downgrade to 3.0.0-beta.1 and then update from within...... still doesnt work

Because you need to log in to YouTube and be a YouTube Premium member...

this is the only solution. Purchasing Youtube Premium Memberiship and login in to Youtube in media extended settings.

Truly, the situation with some noobs can be concerning. Are you naive enough to think that a greedy company like YouTube would let you watch ad-free and seamless videos for free?

But the ads are skipped very smoothly with version 2.11.1 without YT premium.

Are you not getting YouTube Premium because it's expensive? Just get it and use the latest version of the plugin without any hassle. Greetings to my Muslim brother!

Hello Earthlings.
I believe I found the simplest solution that was right in front of us.
