IPv6 Static IP or direct API access

Is there a way to add a static IPv6, not using EUI-64. In my case its a layer-3 ae subinterface. Maybe if that is not an option, having a resource that lets you just do a managed REST call; i have seen other providers do this for unsupported features and it works well.
